Petainer’s reporting was heavily dependent on multiple sources of the same data. Heavily dependent on labour intensive, manual processes using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, email etc. And heavily dependent on key individuals.
Monthly reporting would not be available until working day 5 or 6. Real-time operational reporting was not really possible at all – the hours that it took to collate the data meant it wasn’t really real-time!
Solution.
Optimum evaluated the business intelligence market and recommended Tableau as the best fit for Petainer.
As well as project managing the implementation, Optimum also provided technical expertise to set up a data warehouse which removed the issue of multiple sources of the truth, and resource to develop the reports and BI toolset.
