Challenge.

Penumbra, an Edinburgh based mental health charity, were embarking on a new Digital Transformation project to replace their old, non-integrated systems with the objective of enhancing the staff’s ability to ‘work on the go’ and to improve the inter-departmental connectivity.

Most importantly, the new solution needed to harness the new system’s features to provide the users with the ability to deliver an even better service to its supported persons; assisting & guiding them through their journey to recovery. Optimum PPS were engaged to assist the organisation in articulating their current operational issues and improvement opportunities, and to put together a blueprint and roadmap based on our knowledge of the charity sector’s best practices.

Solution.

Using our proven Blueprint methodology, we guided Penumbra by taking a customer vision and business led approach rather than technology led; constructing a comprehensive path to meet the future organisational objectives with regards to their People, Process & System needs.

This involved laying out the best practices with which their priorities could be met and producing a target business operational model, which was based on deep understanding and insight into the needs of the users & their supported persons. This was followed by a robust ERP system selection process for a new technology solution.
